 JUST A FEW MORE

FRIENDSHIP

A good friend will come bail you out of jail...
But a true friend will be sitting right next to you saying...
"Shit! We screwed up!"

KNOWLEDGE

Believing in yourself is the first step to being yourself.

MOTHERHOOD

A mother understands that dust
will always take up residence in her home..
But her children will not.

SUCCESS

Be nice to people as you climb up the ladder...
They're the same ones you'll pass on your way down.

LOVE

The breeze as it moves silently through the trees,
whispering into your ears.

NEW BEGINNINGS

By thinking of past hurts as the path we need to walk
because they will lead us to the trail of true happiness.

By realizing that past loves are the teachers of how to find
true love.
Think differently.

CHILDREN

An imaginative child grows to
create tomorrow's solutions.

ROADS

If you don't like the road behind you
or the one before you..
Step off the road and make your own path.

SURVIVAL

If you walk five miles into the woods...
You've got to walk five miles to get back out.

Have a great day all!

 CHECK HIM OUT!

This is a shameless plug for my very good friend, Bob Holt. The title of his blog is Unskilled and Mediocre (good stuff).

http://bobholts.blogstream.com/

He just recently joined the Stream and if you want a good laugh or enjoy wry humor or sometimes just plain common sense writing, check him out!

He is a wonderful writer and has been a featured author at Authorsden.com with two books to his credit; A Field Guide to Homeland Security and Views From the Cheap Seats: Lifestyles of the Unskilled and Mediocre.
Both feature his everyman style of writing.

 QUOTE HOARDER

I am weird in the sense that whenever I see a quote that I particularly like I'll search for a pen and piece of paper and quickly write it down, before I forget it. Here a few that I've seen in the last couple of days.

~~~
Every mother is like Moses
She does not enter
the promised land.
She prepares a world
she will not see. - Pope Paul VI
~~~

Love is the hardest habit
to break
and the most
difficult to satisfy.

~~~
It takes one minute to know them
Ten minutes to appreciate them
One day to love them
But a lifetime to forget them.
~~~

Cinderella is proof
that a new pair of shoes
can change your life.

~~~
Age is just a number
but mine is unlisted.
~~~

And I saw this in Dear Abby and saved it and show it every now and then to Hubs when his inner boy comes whining out.

What is the definition of 'maturity'?

Answer: To be able to stick with a job until it's finished.
To do one's duty without being supervised. To be able to carry money without spending it and to be able to bear an injustice without wanting to get even.

Have a super, wunnerful evening, all!

 FAIRY FASCINATION

I was surfing the net and came across a site with fairies, mermaids, dragons and many other mythical fantasy creatures and to my surprise I found I had a hard time clicking out of the site. I was fascinated by the artwork and mystery that seems to surround this fantasy world. Why does it capture my imagination? Is it because it sort of transports me to another world and time? Or am I seeking a place to forget my everyday life and the monotany of it? Or is it just the beauty and uniqueness of the artist? Either way I know I can't resist the artistry and total fascination of this work.

I envy the person who can create a masterpiece from what occupies his/her mind. How those thoughts can be transferred onto a canvas and with dozens of brush strokes can make us see into their minds, their worlds. To share themselves with us, through their art. I look at it as a privilage to be able to enjoy what the artist has put out there, for us to see.
I hope you can too. Peace and love! Debbie
